We recently attended the Peterborough PR and Media Award as organised by Athene Communication. Creative Content Company were chosen as finalists along with 11 other business in the local business community in the same category. The Peterborough PR and Media Award category we were finalists for was Community Contribution of the Year.
I am thrilled to confirm, that we were awarded joint Highly Commended alongside Vivacity – a huge organisation in Peterborough.

Hazel Cottrell, Creative Content Company
Hazel volunteers with Light Project Peterborough and The Winter Night Shelter, acting as shift leader, covering shifts and being on call throughout the project. She is also on the steering committee and uses her stance as a business owner to encourage other people in business to get involved, volunteer, and donate their time or money.
Vivacity – Health and Wellbeing campaign
Vivacity’s Health and Wellbeing programme helps people suffering with health conditions such as cancer or cardiac issues, providing specialist classes that help with rehabilitation and enabling participants to have a better quality of life, as well as providing an all-important source of peer support from people in similar situations. To date this calendar year, over 3,000 people have participated in the programme.
This is a massive deal for us and we were completely blown away when we were announced as finalists for this award category. To have been recognised in a PR and Media award at all was great, but to receive highly commended next to such a large organisation – it certainly give us a boost in our confidence.
What have we learnt? Or rather what is your takeaway? You can do anything you put your mind to. We were put off entering the awards because of the high standard of award entries from other businesses, yet we smashed it! As the famous saying goes; you’ve got to be in it, to win it!
