However, a social media survey by Clutch in 2017 spoke to over 340 social media marketers. They asked about the biggest social media challenges for businesses. There were 6 main challenges that were stated by these social media marketers. These are as follows;

• 26% of social media marketers felt that the biggest social media challenge was a lack of human or financial resources.
• 24% of social media marketers agreed that a social media challenge for some businesses was that there was no formal strategy.
• 24% of social media marketers felt that the biggest challenge for businesses was the struggle of building followers and connecting with the influencers.
• 17% of social media marketers felt that the biggest social media challenge facing businesses was that they were unsure of how to track results, or even to know what social media results to track.
• 4% of social media marketers felt that the biggest challenge of social media facing business owners was keeping up with changing features.
• Finally, 3% of social media marketers reported to Clutch in the social media survey that they felt the biggest social media challenge for businesses was selecting the right channels for their business.
