As a small business ourselves, we know unnerving and worrying this time can be for many business owners and people in business. While we can’t make the uncertainty go away, we can try and remove some of the worry. We have been speaking to an interviewing some of our clients about how coronavirus has affected them and their business.

We hope this will help business owners see that they are not alone and other people are facing the dame challenges that they are. Here is the interview we had with Christopher of Vibrant Colour on the 29th March.

Christopher is the Director of Vibrant Colour, they are based in Peterborough. While we are a supplier for them, they are a supplier of many of our printed materials too!

Here is what Christopher of Vibrant Colour had to say;

What is the business name and what does your business do normally?

Vibrant Colour – we’re specialists in print and promotional merchandise. Merchandise is a great way of saying thank you to customers, or enticing them to talk to you at an event, and our secret weapon is helping you get the message right on the products.

What services do you use Creative Content Company for?

We use Hazel at Creative Content Company for content for our landing pages when we’re too close to a subject matter to make it read clearly to a ‘normal person’!

How has CV-19 affected your business?

A huge proportion of our work is for events, so we’ve seen quite a drop-off in our work.

Have you changed your service offering to go online / digitally – if so, how?

We’re taking the time to gradually check in with our customers on a one-to-one basis, and then, once customers have adjusted their routines, we’ll start looking at their autumn events diary – so that when this is all over, we can hit ‘go’ on projects for them with everything prepared and ready to go.

We don’t have access to full production at present, but we are preparing artwork, and making sure everything is ready as it can be without the financial obligation.

Where, if you’re home, are your working from?

I have set up an office in the spare room, but tend to go for the sofa!

What is keeping you going every day?

The ability to spend more time catching up with customers – it’s been lovely.

What are you finding hardest during this time?

Lack of flexibility!

What is your top tip for other business owners?

Make the most of the extra time if you have it – but only once your head is in the right place to.

So, that is how Christopher of Vibrant Colour is coping through this uncertain time; how about you?
