There is so much going on in the world of social media all the time, and it is always changing. If you have a business social media presence there is lots you need to be aware of. However, as social media is not always the main of your business, unless you run a business like us, this can be time consuming.

This is why here at Creative Content Company we stay on top of all the things that businesses on social media need to be aware of; this means we can offer business social media management to the best of our ability. We also then put them into clear and concise blog posts that are easy to read and understand to help other businesses.

In this blog post we would like to talk about a report by Orbit Media Studios that looks at the response to posts on Facebook, based on the length of the post on Facebook.

This will basically help you understand and give you an idea of how long your Facebook posts should be and how this will help the amount of likes, comments and your response score on this social media platform for your business.

Please remember this research was done on Orbit Media Studios clients’ page, so they have many more people liking their page than you may have, but you will see the change in numbers will still be same percentage for a smaller business like yours.

A Tiny Facebook Post

A facebook post of 0-70 characters will on average get over 3,000 likes, around 40 comments and a response score of around 4,500.

A Small Facebook Post

A facebook post of 71 to 140 characters will get around 2,750 likes, around 20 comments and a response score of around 3,250.

A Medium Facebook Post

A post on facebook with between 141 and 230 characters will have around 1,900 likes, 10 comments and a response score of around 2,750.

A Large Facebook Post

A facebook post of over 231 characters will gain around 2,200 likes, less than 10 comments and have a response score of around 2,600.

How had this made you reconsider what you are posting on Facebook for your business and the length of the posts you are sharing on this social media platform for your business?
