It can sometimes be tricky to know what to post about on social media to keep your business pages on social media active and frequently updated, without just selling or being boring. This is why we put together a blog post each month with ideas for readers to put on their social media pages; to help get those creative juices flowing!
The 3rd – 9th June is Pet Appreciation Week; while some may joke that the internet was made for pictures of cats, pets will actually really help increase engagement, especially when you share a picture of your cute pet and encourage others to do the same. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #PetAppreciationWeek so your followers don’t think you have completed lost the plot.
21st June is National Selfie Day; you could share a photo of your team in the office, a bunch of you at a networking event, or go somewhere recognisable and ask followers and connection to guess where you are; try not to make it too obvious though; and remember the hashtag #NationalSelfieDay
The 22nd June is Take Your Dog to Work Day, while the 25th June is Take Your Child to Work Day. We all know the saying that you should never work with animals or children, but this could really work for you. Some great snaps of the dog on your office chair will get people commenting, or the chance to teach your child what you do could be a great experience for you both too.
If you have a family-run business then Take Your Child to Work Day on the 25th June is a great chance to talk about and promote this!
From the 14th May until 14th June it is National Smile Month and this is a great chance to share some funny pictures, happy quotes and silly jokes to encourage your target audience to crack a smile, which in turn will create the connection between your business or brand and smiling!
If you’d like more ideas and inspiration for your social media management, then just shout – we would be happy to help you make the most of your business online.
