We create blog posts like this at the beginning of every month, we try not to give you a long list of things to post on your social media platforms, instead we give you ideas and inspiration so you can think of the sorts of things you can put on your own social media. We have found that all our clients sometimes need is a little help to get their creative juices flowing and then they’re off.
July is National Ice Cream Month – this is a chance for you to engage with your audience on a personal level, talk about ice cream, talk about favourite flavours, flavours they would like to see, the weirdest ice cream flavours in the world and such like. However, to make sure that your clients don’t think you have gone completely ice cream crazy use a hashtag at the end, something like #NationalIceCreamMonth
If you own a rabbit then you’ll be keen to get involved in National Rabbit week, 15th – 21st July. Share photos of your own rabbit and encourage your followers to do the same thing. If you are a vet or work with rabbits then share top health tips for rabbits, if you sell products with pictures of rabbits on share those photos. Make sure you don’t ‘rabbit’ on too much though!
Compliment Your Mirror day is the 3rd July, if you sell to women then this can be a really good day to talk about on social media and encourage your audience to share the compliments publicly for a ‘feel good’ day.
The 10th of July is Pina Colada day, if you own a restaurant or bar consider serving Pina Coladas on that day and share photos and special offers on social media platforms. Alternatively, if you have a lot of business meetings take them to a venue that serves Pina Coladas (and non alcoholic Pina Colada alternatives) and then have photos of you and your client enjoying these beverages. You’ll have clients queuing up to have meetings with you.
Possibly the most random day of July is National Take Your Houseplant For A Walk Day, that famous well known day we all look forward to? However, this is a chance to have a little bit of fun. Take photos of you and your staff taking the plants from the office for a walk and get your audience to do the same. Social media should be fun so why not have a laugh with this national day? It’s on 27th July.
If you struggle coming up with ideas for what to write on your social media platforms give us a call for some one-to-one social media training or book onto one of our workshops.
