We were thrilled to recently receive an email from the organisers of Peterborough Small Business Awards. In this email we found out that there were over 100 businesses and business owners that were nominated for the awards, yet there were only 40 spaces for finalists.

And little old us at Creative Content Company managed to make the finalists in three different Peterborough Small Business Award categories.

Firstly we found out that we have made the finalist list for The Peterborough Business Personality of the Year, along with three other finalists that we know really well. Ed Smith from Sphere Health and Risk Management & The Peterborough Biscuit (who we nominated), James Dawson from Wilson & Co Homes who volunteered at Talentino for us, and Jason Yearwood of Connect Business Networking – the networking group we are member of!

There is some really stiff competition in this round and as much as we would love to win this award, we will class ourselves as Miss Personality of the Year, as the only female in the running, regardless of the outcome!

We then found we have been chosen as finalists for The Peterborough Small Service Business of the Year alongside even more stiff competition including our fantastic clients Direct Peak who are very worthy of the award (which was why we nominated them for this award), Ethos Nursing, So Brand Creative who we have worked with before and were actually up against each other for an award at Women Business Leaders Peterborough awards last year, Street Arts Hire and, once more, Wilson & Co Homes.

We were flattered to find ourselves in the finalist list for The Peterborough Inspirational Small Business Owner of the Year too. We are up against last year’s overall winner, and extremely inspirational business owner Kim Coley of Soul Happy Wellbeing Centre (who we nominated for this award), Nicole Woodcock of Hummingbird Hypnotherapy who was also a winner in these awards last year and the amazing Zoe Phillips of As and When who does incredible things for the community, has also volunteered at some of our things and, of course, we took pride in nominating.

As you can see, there are some amazing businesses up for these awards and we are just thrilled to have been recognised among these businesses.

May the best man or woman win; we’ll find out at the awards ceremony in October.
