As providers of email marketing services, we are often asked if we offer sales emails. That really depends on what you mean. We do create emails that are likely to result in sales for our clients. However, we don’t refer to them at sales emails. We can them email newsletters. These are monthly or quarterly newsletters that help get our clients sales.
Our email newsletter writing service will generate leads, while keeping your target audience engaged. Nobody wants to receive a sales email, but they’ll happily receive, and even sign up, for an email newsletter.
There are important things to remember when creating an email newsletter. You need to be friendly and engaging. If you go straight into the sales pitch and tell the reader to ’buy now’ this could result in them pressing delete now.
If you’re too salesy you will put the reader off. This means that you need to avoid the use of words such as ‘urgent’ or ‘free’. The reader and their email system will see this as spam and it might never get seen, let alone read.
Think carefully about your subject line. It is the first thing the reader will see in their inbox. It is what will make them click delete, flag for later or read now. Keep it short and sweet, but make sure you get your message across clearly.
Make sure you have a clear call to action. Think about what you want the reader to do when they read your email. Include a special offer or deal that is only for subscribers. Make it clear and simple how they can get this special offer and order your product or service now. The clearer you make the call to action, and the easier you make the action – the better chance you’ll have of success.
When you send out an email newsletter, make sure you have the same layout each time. This gives the reader a chance to get used to what they see and where they can find that special offer.
If you need help creating your email newsletter or want support to ensure it’s not a sales email, drop us a line. We can create your email newsletter for you to insert the content, or we can create the content for your newsletter too.
