Sometimes it can be hard to sell, you don’t want to feel like a sleazy or desperate sales person, but at the same time – you want people to know who you are, what you do and how your services or products can help them, but how can you do this? By blogging!

You can use a blog with the title ‘How to choose the best …(insert your industry or business type here) and then use the blog to talk about what a customer should look for when searching for a business, promoting all the awesome things that you do. For example – check testimonials (make sure you have a testimonials page that is full and recent), check that they’re active and responsive on social media (again – check you are), use someone with a background or history in this are etc, etc – each time ensuring it is something you / your business does.

Then use these blog posts, section of the blog posts and links to the blogs posts on your social media. You connections, fans and followers will then follow the link to your website and look around your website to find out more about your business, services and products. You’re not selling, but instead you’re giving them a way to buy from you by following the blog and internal links to a services page on your website.

You can then create further blogs talking about case studies, testimonials you receive, ways your services can help a business grow, services and products that support another businesses offerings, giving clear answers to frequently asked questions and so on.

The idea is to create a blog post that is interesting and engaging; it will be searched for on Google or can be shared on social media and then will direct traffic to your website – as people read this blog they’ll be hooked by our voice and brand which will make them want to find out more.

They will then search through your blog post to follow links to other blog posts and services pages and explore through your site which could eventually lead them to buy from you, without you really doing a lot of selling or coming across as that annoying sales person!
