As most of you will know now, anything to do with charity or the community and I am pretty much always in – add a splash of Christmas and they’ll be no stopping me. So it may not be of surprise to you that I will be donning my Elf Outfit and becoming a special little helper to Father Christmas.

I have always worked closely with Rotaract, Rotary and the Round Table. At the weekend I received an email from a man called John Sadler from Huntingdon Rotary Club, he is Santa in Huntingdon for the Christmas Lights Switch On. He emailed saying it was not possible he could be Santa without his number one side-kick, Elf Hazel. Who was I to let down Santa?

There will be a Santa’s Grotto (that is being made as we speak) in Huntingdon Town Centre between Card Warehouse and Premier Travel, opposite Birthdays and Greggs. I shall be there with Santa welcoming all the girls and boys and making sure Santa doesn’t forget what they have all asked for this Christmas – and double checking if they need to be on the Naughty or Nice list.

Then I will be heading down with Father Christmas to turn on the lights in Huntingdon – I will be like a celebrity and, as I am sure you can imagine, I am super excited. In fact I could not be more excited if I am honest. I hate to ruin Christmas for kids (so get them to turn away now), but John Sadler is my favourite of all the Santa’s – he’s amazing!

If anyone wants to come down I am happy to get involved in any bribery for good behaviour you have set up for the kids. Santa will be in his grotto from 1pm until 5pm and at 5pm we will be heading down to the town centre to turn on the lights so make sure you look out for us.

Happy Christmas Everyone!!!!
