Did you know that the more blog posts you write, the more people will read and the more readers you’ll have? That’s right! More blog posts equal more readers. What’s the best thing about more readers reading more of your content? The more people know about you and your business, the more likely they are to purchase from your business.
Research shows that there is a really high correlation between the frequency that you upload new blog posts and the traffic to your website as well as the leads for your business. This has been seen in a huge amount of recent studies.
For example, benchmarking data from HubSpot shows that websites with new blog posts uploaded 16 or more times a month will receive 3.5 times more traffic than websites with blog posts uploaded weekly or less than weekly. This same benchmarking data from HubSpot also found that companies uploaded 16 or more blog posts a month got 4.5 times more leads than companies posting 0-4 blogs posts a month.
Curta also did some research in which they surveyed over 400 marketers. They found that 90.5% of the most successful blog posts published at least once a week. A successful blog post in this case was classed as a blog post with more than 10,000 view per month.
You may be thinking that these are results from the big boys of the industry, but you’d be wrong. These are not huge companies with endless resources and money to burn. In fact, the research by Curta showed that two thirds of the blogs with over 10,000 views a month were actually run by small companies.
So how can small businesses make an impact with blogs? They need to post more blog posts to equal more readers.
The report by HubSpot found that increasing the amount of blog posts a small business uploads, will have the biggest impact for smaller businesses. HubSpot found that companies with 10 or less employees that were publishing 11 or more blog posts each month had almost 3 times more traffic than companies posting 1 monthly blog post or less. The research also found that these businesses posting 11 or more blogs a month got 2 times as much traffic as businesses uploading 2-5 blog posts a month.
Like we said, more blog posts equal more readers.
