After spending thousands on ducks, Ken Stimpson School have invited me back to help their Year 10 students with mock interviews. The idea is to help build the students confidence for when they complete interviews themselves, get used to the set up of interviews and what sort of things they should say and do.
I am honoured to have been invited to Ken Stimpson School to help with this event on Wednesday 10th May. They will be 10minute one-to-one interviews where questions will be asked like a standard email, but the students will then be given feedback by the interviewer to help them gain confidence and further their communication skills for real-life interviews.
The job description that the students are applying for in the mock interviews (and the job I am recruiting for) is as follows;

I am really excited about this event as I have not helped schools or students in this way before, so it will be an exciting new experience and learning curve for me as well as the students. It will be great if I can help even one student grow in confidence for their first interview in the ‘real world’.
As I have explained before, anything Creative Content Company can do to help the community, charities and local schools is always something we are happy to get involved in when we can – and the reason we talk about it so actively in blog posts and social media is because we want to encourage other people in business to do the same.
There are 3 time slots that Ken Stimpson have asked volunteers to join them for and these are 8.45am-10.15am, 11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm. I have put my name down to attend both of the morning sessions, but sadly I cannot attend the afternoon session as it is Creative Networking Afternoon Tea.
If you would like to attend this event and help students at Ken Stimpson School then please do drop me a line and I shall connect you with the school to confirm your attendance and tell you all you need to know.
