As you may have seen from previous blog posts, I am now an Associate of Talentino and the Project Manager of a mentoring project in Peterborough that is due to launch in September / October at schools in Peterborough.

I am looking for people from businesses to give just 1hr a week for 6 weeks to visit a group of up to 8 special needs students and mentor them on various different topics such as what is a job, why it’s good to have a job and what sort of jobs there are.

Then, on the 7th week of the mentoring program the 8 students will come to your place of work to see where you work, what you do and see inside a ‘real-life’ business; for many of the students this will be a first time experience and a memory that could stay with them for life.

In an earlier blog I shared the benefits of this mentoring project to the business and in other posts I have gone into more details about the mentoring project, Talentino and what to expect – but if you would like to find out more than put Tuesday 1st August in your diary.

On Tuesday 1st August, Jenny Connick, the MD of Talentino will be coming to Peterborough to tell interested mentors more about this project and the company. Jenny will be at Marriott Hotel Peterborough from 9am until 11am.

The arrival of Jenny neatly coincides with Creative Networking Coffee Morning which means you can find out more about Talentino and the mentoring project in Peterborough, while meeting new business and networking with others in Peterborough; and enjoying a delicious coffee or hot beverage.

We have schools across Peterborough, Wisbech and Huntingdon so if you live or work in any of the areas and want to get involved in this fantastic opportunity then please contact me for details or drop in to the Marriott Hotel, Peterborough on 1st August between 9am-11am and stay for the informal networking event.
