You may have seen from previous blog posts that we were lucky enough to be finalists for the SME Cambridgeshire Awards. We are finalists in two award categories. One is Community Business of the Year. The other award category in which we are finalists is Business Woman of the Year.

As we have stated in previous blog posts, and we stand by – this is a massive achievement for us. This is the 3rd year we have made finalists for the SME Cambridgeshire Awards – could this year be our year???

We will be attending the SME Awards at Duxford Airport Museum on 4th July. Having seen previous events at this venue, we are very excited to be attending an event at this venue. It looks stunning!!!

The nicest part of this awards ceremony perhaps is the people we are attending with. Attending the Small Business Awards Peterborough last year was a really lovely event for us. We were at an event where we knew about 75% of the people in the room. It was a supportive room and we were all so pleased for each other. Even when I was pipped to the post of Peterborough Personality of the Year by Ed Smith. I’m not bitter?!?!?!?

We will be attending with Tracey and Jason Yearwood who run Connect Business Networking. They are up for business networking group of the year. Natalie Brannigan of The Little Marketing Company will be in attendance, along with Christopher Smith and Ed Smith (not related) who are both up for the same award. Jo Bevilacqua will also be attending, and is a finalist for the Business Woman of the Year award too.

I have not attended this awards ceremony previously as I have not known the other finalists. This year it will be lovely to support the other finalists. Hopefully there will be some award wins and celebrations on our table.

Maybe 3rd year lucky will be it for us and we will finally leave as winners, and not finalists. Regardless, we know this will be an incredible evening and a gorgeous backdrop with some amazing friends and people in business.

Keep your eyes peeled for photos on the night! (and please keep your fingers crossed in the meantime!)
