A Facebook business page is a tricky beast and for many people in business it is just somewhere they post and forget about and the main reason for that is that nobody replies, engages or even talks to them – hey get a few likes here and there, but what’s the point?
In this article we would like to share some top tips with you that should you gain more engagement on your Facebook business page posts and updates;
Be You
We say these two words ‘Be You’ probably more than we say anything else but it is never more the case than it is with social media. The clue is in the name; social media is all about being social so don’t be afraid to show your personality and get chatting.
Ask Away
If you own a dress shop ask which the preferred style out of the two dresses is; if you sell homes ask which the busiest room in the home is, if you sell car insurance ask what is your followers first car and such like. This will then encourage people to talk to you as you are asking them a question.
Use Pictures
Pictures and Images are what stop people scrolling down the page and the images attract their attention so make sure you add photos, pictures and images to your posts where you can because this will attract people to your post and hopefully engage.
Keep It Simple
Don’t upload long posts and updates that turn people off; aim for a few lines to ensure that you keep posts and updates simple, short and to the point as this will attract attention, whereas longer posts have the risk of boring or ‘turning off’ your target audience. If it’s a long update (around 300+ words) make it into a blog post.
Don’t Give Up
It can be very easy to post consistently for a week or two, see no response so give up, then come back a few months later and try again. This will not help your online presence or engagement at all. If you don’t have the time or effort to post on Facebook for your business then either shut the page or get a social media management company to post on your Facebook business page for you.
