You may have seen that we are running our first ever business expo in Peterborough this year. The event is taking place on Thursday 12^th March in Paston. Having attended many business expos in the 12 years we have been in business, we have seen what works and what doesn’t work. Our key learning point is that it doesn’t matter how good the event is planned, if nobody comes.

So, this is what we are focusing on with out business expo in Peterborough. We want to support the businesses exhibiting with us. We are doing this in a selection of ways.

For example, we are offering businesses the opportunity to set up the day before the event, or the morning of the event. This means that if anything has been forgotten when you’re setting up you can bring it the next day. It means you have time to set up and relax. You’re not rushing about trying to set up as attendees arrive. We find this works really well for us at previous events, so it was important to offer it at this business expo.

The morning of the business expo in Peterborough we have a networking breakfast. This is £15 (plus fees) for a full English breakfast, hot drinks and networking. We are targeting this event at businesses that are not exhibiting. It means that as soon as the exhibition opens, there are people ready to visit the stands.

During the day we are running a free speed networking event too. This is an opportunity for attendees to come and network. Again, it should give exhibitors a ‘rush’ of potential clients before and after the event. Exhibitors are welcome to attend the speed networking event and the breakfast networking.

We are supplying 1 lunch per exhibitor included in the price. This is because we know that exhibiting is hard work. Having lunch provided makes the day that little bit easier. There is also a voucher for a drink during the day, so you can stay hydrated. In addition, there is a café where exhibitors can grab a drink or snacks. Exhibitors and attendees can have 1-2-1s or planned meetings at the event too.

The business expo is split across 2 rooms. This means that if we have 2 of the same industry, we can put them in different rooms. While the is no lock out, and every business is different – it gives all attendees a fair exhibition.

Our stands are 70cm x 70cm. This is about half a full-size table. It makes the business expo suitable for all industries. If you don’t have lots of things to put on your stand, it doesn’t matter. You can just have business cards, leaflets, a pull up banner and some sweets, perhaps. Your business won’t look lost on a huge exhibition stand.

The main goal was to make the event affordable for all businesses too. Here at Creative Content Company, we want to support the local business community. This is why our stands are £75 plus fees, per stand.
