As you will have seen recently, we have been sharing lots of interviews with people in business over the last few weeks. We have been talking to people about the effect of coronavirus on them personally, but also how coronavirus has affected their business. In this blog post we have changed it up slightly.
We work closely with The Peterborough Biscuit Business Exhibition and Sphere RHSM. Creative Content Company are the blogging partner of their event and sometimes create content for the health and safety side of the business. In this blog post we thought we would speak to their employee Ed Smith, also known as Teddi the Drag Queen, to see how coronavirus had affected her and her business. Teddi is a hostess and entertainer for many events in and around Peterborough and surrounding areas.

What services do you use Creative Content Company for?
Emotional support, Hazel’s my biggest fan.
How has CV-19 affected your business?
I no longer have any where to perform or host from.
Have you changed your service offering to go online / digitally – if so, how?
Yes I am offering free online shows through this tough time.
What have you struggled most with during this time?
The media!
Have there been any positive outcomes?
Yes a lot more people have got to see my drag and my performance through social media. Also, I am reusing a lot of looks including wigs and costumes so getting more wear out of them.
How are you finding working from home?
It is hard as I am quite a social person. I believe in the power of hugging so not getting to see my business pals face to face is hard.
Where, if you’re home, are you working from?
My dining table it’s got a lot of natural light and is a great time for planning what I’m doing.
What are you finding hardest during this time?
Socialising through a screen, which is hard.
What is your top tip for other business owners?
Plan your marketing strategy now while you are in a quiet time. Use this time effectively. Give your business a spring clean and refine your practices.
What does your new ‘day in the life of’ look like?
Similar just I roll from the bedroom to the workplace in my PJ’s.
