Four Ways To Encourage Click-Throughs From Your Social Media Content

Four Ways To Encourage Click-Throughs From Your Social Media Content

Posted on October 5, 2022 by Hazel - Content Marketing, Social Media

Increasing the click-throughs from your social media content to your website is the key aim of social media for businesses, in our opinion. You will never be able to post as much on social media as you have on your website. Instead, use social media to direct people to your website. This will help you boost traffic to your website, tell your target audience more about you, increase social media referrals, boost your brand awareness and positively impact your SEO ranking too.

In this blog post we share just four ways to encourage click-throughs from your social media content. These are ways of piquing the attention of your target audience and leaving them wanting more. Due to the fact they are left wanting more, they will click-through to your website where they can find out more.

Here are some of the ways that you can encourage click-throughs from your social media content to your business website.

  • Hook Them In

When trying to encourage click-throughs from your social media content, you need to create a hook. This should be something interesting that gets the reader interested. It could be the opening lines to a blog post, an intriguing headline or the first part of the story. The link to the website is then included as the place where they can find out more.

  • Appeal To Their FOMO

FOMO, also known as Fear Of Missing Out, is a huge marketing tool you can use. It’s about relying on a persons fear of missing out on something. This could be a special offer, bargain or deal for example. By hinting towards how indispensable it is for them to find out more and telling them they don’t want to be the last to find out, you are appealing to their FOMO and encouraging them to click the link to your website.

  • Use Emotions

By creating emotional messages for your social media posts, or using provocative images, you can appeal to the emotion of your audience. This will lead them to feel like they are emotionally involved with your post and brand. In turn, they will want to continue engaging with your content, following the link to find out more.

  • Add CTAs

CTAs, also known as Call To Actions, are a really simple and effective tool when it comes to encouraging click-throughs from your social media content to your website. This is because you are clearly telling your reader what you would like to do, and how to do it. Including a short call to action along with a link in your social media post can be all that is needed.

If you need help creating content for your social media posts, or engaging content for your website, call our team. We would be happy to share some ideas with you or create your content for you.
