As you may have seen from previous blog posts we have booked ourselves in for a few local networking events recently. This definitely isn’t to say that Connect Business Networking isn’t working for us. In fact quite the opposite.
Connect Business Networking is working so well for us in regards to sales, new leads, new business, skills, confidence and knowledge. The only issue is that we have got a little lazy on the networking scene. This is because that group works so well for us.
So, we have been looking for new events to attend locally. To get our face, name, business and brand back out there in Peterborough and the community.
The next event we will be attending is Drag Networking. There are different reasons that we are attending this event. Firstly, it sounds incredible. A networking event with a performance from Drag Queens! How could I not attend?
It will attract open minded and like minded business owners which I will really enjoy networking with. This event is a morning event, which works really well for me. Finally, it is being run by Ed Smith and marks the start of Pride Week in Peterborough.
Ed Smith of The Peterborough Biscuit and Sphere RHSM is an incredible guy. I am now over the pain of him beating me to the award of Peterborough Personality of the Year at Small Business Awards Peterborough in 2018. He was a well-deserved winner.
This guy is amazing at what he does in the local business community and LGBT+ community. I will support him as a friend and his business as a client in any way that I can.
This is a networking event that is definitely not to be missed. I was very lucky to have been one of the first people to hear about the idea as he discussed his ideas with others and asked for thoughts.
This is an event I have been so excited about this upcoming event and can not wait to be there on the day. Personally, I highly recommend that everyone that can attend this event does. It will be a very memorable and highly talked about event for many months to come, I am sure!
The event is followed by a Pride March through the business park and to a party. This is chance for people in business to show support for PRIDE in Peterborough. It will be followed by a BBQ where everyone can network further.
Put this date in your diary and book a ticket – if there are any still available!
