Every 4th Thursday of the month we run our Creative Networking breakfast event in Peterborough, including informal networking, breakfast networking, unlimited breakfast buffet and a guest speaker.
The event starts from 7.45am where you can grab a hot or cold beverage, get yourself signed in, pop your marketing materials on the bumf table and start networking, informally, with other attendees.
We then take turns presenting our 60 second pitches to the room, explaining who you are, what you do, what sort of clients you are looking for and basically giving an overview of you and your business.
This is followed by breakfast time when you can help yourself to a selection of hot and cold breakfast items including baconm, sausage, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, eggs, bubble & squeak, toast, pancakes, crumpets, flapjack, pieces of fruit, fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, muesli and much more – then take your choice of breakfast to the table for table networking with other attendees.
After breakfast we have a guest speaker to talk to us. This month we have Julie of Incrementi talking about Selling To Get Paid, which I know will be a useful topic for many of us;
Title: Selling to Get Paid
A sale isn’t a sale until it’s paid for…
I’m sure you must have heard this expression many times but; a) what does it really mean to you and your business and b) more importantly how can you ensure you do get paid for the services or products you provide without being paid in advance? Seems too good to be true? Well I promise it isn’t.
Come along and learn how to painlessly and cost effectively combine the sales and credit control elements of your business together using a proven method so that your improve cashflow, reduce stress and ultimately don’t your waste time working with people who won’t or can’t pay you.
