I once heard of fundraising referred to as fun-raising and this has really stuck with me. We all want to do something to help charities. In addition, we all want to have fun. So why not bring the two together? Why not fun-raise by raising money for charities while having fun? That’s definitely what I have signed up for when I say we are clubbing for charity.

Clubbercise is an exercise that I have an on and off relationship with. I really do forget how much I love it until I am there. The best thing about Clubbercise, in my opinion, is that it’s done in the dark. This means that nobody can see me when I make mistakes. There is the added bonus of glow sticks and glow in the dark make-up is optional too. It’s like a night out with friends.

The moves are easy to follow. They are also available in high or low impact options – which is great because I haven’t been for a while. There dance moves and routines are designed to suit all fitness levels, even sweaty me at the back!

I find Clubbercise a really good fun exercise. It’s a fun and full-body workout. The tunes are brilliant too, especially matched with the disco lights. There are club anthems, 90’s classics and the latest hits in the charts. Luckily the music is loud enough that you don’t hear me singing along (breathily and out of tune).

Creative Content Company will be clubbing for Sands Charity. Sands stands for Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society. It’s a very important charity that has helped a lot of my friends through some really tough times. Needless to say, we will be clubbing for a very worthwhile charity.

Tickets are just £15 per person, with the profits of the event going to charity. It will be held on Thursday 14th March at The Fleet in Peterborough. The event takes place between 7pm and 9pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The event is open to anyone 13 years or over, whether you have clubbercised before or not. You can book your tickets here.

There will be a raffle on the night too. If you would like to donate a raffle prize, please let me know. I will connect you with the organisers and you can support the Sands charity in your own way. It’d be great to see you there. Why not join me in clubbing for charity in March?
