You may have seen that we recently ran a networking event to celebrate National Ice Cream Month. This was such a great event for the local business community. When the owner of the venue, Heavenly Desserts, asked who knew about the restaurant before they came just 3-5 people raised their hands. When attendees were asked if they would come back before they left, all attendees (over 30) raised their hands. This is just one of the successes of the business networking event to celebrate national months.
It is also one of the reasons we want to continue running events of this type. We were able to offer this event completely free of charge. The venue very kindly gave each attendee 2 free scoops of ice cream. We organised, marketed and promoted the event free of charge too. It meant that we could have 40 local businesses booked onto a business networking event to celebrate national months.
Attendees to our first event included 2 brand new business owners that had never networked before. We also had marketing companies, travel agents, event planners, IT experts, printers, colleges charities, consultants, utility companies and more. It was a really well-turned-out event. Lots of connections were made.
This is why we want to continue running more business networking events to celebrate national months. Here at Creative Content Company, we excel in social media. We are often looking at and recommending different national days, weeks and months and ways to celebrate them. Our passion lies in the local business community too. The better the local business community, the better our business in the future.
We are currently in conversation with 2 local independent businesses in the Peterborough area for business networking to celebrate national months in September and October. Emails have been sent to other local businesses too. Ideally, we will have one event a month as a minimum. This gives attendees a variety of events to choose from and is enough for us to manage too. While it is a free event for attendees, it still takes a lot of time investment for us too.
