How excited are people to see your brand? Is it a brand people recognise? Do they look out for your brand colours or logo? Is a brand they recognise or a colour they see and think of you? Surely that’s what you want from a brand?

Here at Creative Content Company, we are based in Peterborough. There is one brand I am always excited to see. That’s the council bin vans. While this might seem an unusual thing to get excited about – I have good reason for my excitement. When I see the light blue van on the road, I can’t help but get excited. Want to know why? Because they are named!

There is a road sweeper in the city called Sweep Caroline. The bin van that comes to our house is Chitty Chitty Bin Bin. Yesterday I saw Mission Bin Possible. It’s something so simple, yet so effective.

But how can you get people excited to see your brand?

Our brand colours are orange, blue and green. We are becoming known for these colours. When we attend a business exhibition, we have the three colours as tablecloths. Where possible we will have the coloured bunting too, or balloons. They are bright and vibrant colours that we are becoming known for.

Christmas 2025 we decided to get people excited about seeing our brand. We did this by sponsoring a Christmas tree at Peterborough Cathedral. It was covered in decorations in blue, orange and green to make sure it stood out. On the Christmas tree you could see our unique branded decorations too. These decorations were also spread across Christmas trees in and around Peterborough.

People were asked to keep their eyes peeled for our Christmas decorations and take a photo when they saw them and tag us on social media. We then chose a winner at random to win a selection box.

It was our way of getting people excited to see our branding. It worked really well and it’s definitely something that we will try again next year.
