Every month we take the time to wet your appetites and get your creative juices flowing for things you can post about on social media. They’re only a few tips and pointers but they will help you get social on social media – instead of shouting your sales messages at those that are connected with you on social media.

After all, business social media should be social!

First, and perhaps most obviously, this month brings Mothers Day. If you sell products or services that are suitable for Mothers Day then talk about these, share special offer, give a countdown so connections aren’t surprised when Mothers Day suddenly appears. Ask mothers to share their best and worst mother’s days too – build up a relationship with the mothers as they will be your potential customers too.

It’s also Easter, why not hide a picture of an Easter egg in your website, somewhere. Or even take a photo in the office and hide an Easter egg somewhere. Your social media connections then have to email you with the place they have spotted the Easter egg and then a winner is chosen at random. This is a great way of showing potential customers that you are a real business and you have a real office, which is sometimes hard to prove for online businesses.

The 8th March is International Women’s Day so why not celebrate an International Woman who has inspired you in business or life? You could write a blog about them or even just upload a post and tag them into it. This is a day to celebrate women, so who will you choose to celebrate?

20th March is the International Day of Happiness, share a happy snap of the office, some photos that make you smile or ask your connections to share photos that make them smile. It’s the international day of happiness so let’s get sharing that happiness!

These ideas should get you started so open your social media scheduling tool and schedule these in and then fill in the gaps. If you’re not using a social media scheduling tool then get yourself booked in for some social media training where we can teach you how to save time when using social media for your business.
