Each year brings new B2B content marketing trends. This is because business owners and marketers look back on the last year at what worked and what didn’t work. They use this information to plan their content marketing for the year ahead, and this is where the B2B content marketing trends for the next year are created. This research and these predictions of 2021 B2B content marketing trends have been created by Altitude Marketing.

2021 B2B Content Marketing Trend 1: Video Content

The trend of video content is growing in popularity all the time. This is because it’s a great way to boost your brand awareness and educate your target audience on who you are and what you do. Video content is great for SEO and is an extremely popular and cost-effective marketing tool.

Will you be trying video content for your marketing in 2021?

2021 B2B Content Marketing Trend 2: Webinars

Webinars have definitely grown in popularity over the last year due to the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown. In-person training, presentations and speaker events were not possible during lockdown, so people turned to webinars. These are a great way of still running events when it’s not possible to meet face-to face. The great thing about webinars are that they can be watched live or made available to download and watch at a later date.

Have you attended any webinars and thought you could do this yourself?

2021 B2B Content Marketing Trend 3: Podcasts

Podcasts have been around a while but were always left to the celebrities of the world. However, in recent years they have become more popular in the world of B2B marketing. They are a great way of sharing content with your target audience. Podcasts are commonly created through interviews with people in a relevant industry, customers, suppliers, or members of your team.

Who could you interview to create great-quality podcasts for your business?

Our Content Marketing Plans For 2021

Based on the above B2B marketing trends we wanted to tell you how these come into place with our own marketing. We created a lot of video content during 2020, but this slowed down as tier changes and lockdowns were announced and work picked up. This is an area we want to improve on in 2021.

Webinars are something we have been thinking about for a while. We have also been asked by people if we would run some webinar social media training for them to attend. This is an area that is still being considered, so I guess all we can say is – watch this space!

When it comes to podcasts, this is not an area we are looking at as we feel that if we have good quality video content, there is no need for podcasts as well.
