In this blog post we would like to share some top tips with you for refreshing your business social media for 2018;
Firstly, you need to pop on your website, check you have links to your social media page; that these links go to the right social media business accounts and that the link opens up a new window instead of taking your visitor away from your website to get lost on their social media page instead and then forget what they were doing before they got there.
Secondly, if you have a logo as your profile picture, make sure it is the latest version and sits right in your profile picture space, if you have a photo of yourself, make sure it is a recent and up to date photo that people will be able to recognise you from if they see you at a networking event or have a meeting with you.
Thirdly, look at the voice and tone you are portraying on social media, is this how you want people to view you and your business – a new year is time for a fresh start so if you want to make changes and improvements then now is the time. Think about how you post and speak as well as the things that you are posting about and this will help you refine your tone.
Finally, plan what you will talk about going forward – choose a topic for the week or month ahead and do the same for the next 6 month or year; you can then tie all your social media, website content, blog posts and newsletters in to the same topic to create a more targeted approach to your online and digital marketing.
